Vermillion Players and the Livingston County Historical Society are proud to announce their first annual cemetery walk titled Reflections on the Riverbank. Under the direction of Lisa Green, the walk will take place at Southside Cemetery and feature 12 past Pontiac residents who helped shape our community including:

Albert Folsom (1857-1912)
Dr. Darius Johnson (1828-1877)
Henry (1838-1921) and Mary (1851-1942) Jones
Achalis Morris Legg (1861-1934)
Maria Tracey Fellows Buck Owens (1812-1909)
Henry (1833-1901) and Esther (1825-1910) Reed
Philip (1813-1897) and Martha (1812-1896) Rollins
Dr. John Ross (1867-1919)
Capt. Hans L Tuesburg (1786-1859).

Each of these people will be portrayed by a local actor. Volunteers will guide groups through the cemetery from person to person.

This is a rain or shine event; if you are unable to attend at the time you purchased, please contact us to discuss changing your ticket or for a refund. Due to limited group sizes, last minute changes may not be available. Be aware that you will be outdoors and on your feet most of the event. Attendees will walk from grave to grave though chairs will be available at each stop. It will last approximately 1 hour. To ensure the safety of participants and volunteers, we are limiting the number of tickets to 10 per timeslot and are asking that all audience members wear a mask. Performances will take place Friday, October 16 at 4:00, 4:20, 4:40, and 5:00pm, Saturday, October 17 at 11:00, 11:20, 11:40am, and 12:00pm, and Sunday, October 18 at 2:00, 2:20, 2:40, and 3:00pm.

This historic cemetery walk does not consist of any ghost stories. This respectful tour presents Pontiac’s history in a unique way. All information provided is factual and related to historical events of the area and the lives of the people who lived here.
