Twelve Dates of Christmas Auditions
Open audition call!
After seeing her fiance kiss another woman at the televised Thanksgiving Day Parade, Mary’s life falls apart — just in time for the holidays. Over the next year, she stumbles back into the dating world, where “romance” ranges from weird and creepy to absurd and comical. It seems nothing can help Mary’s growing cynicism, until the charm and innocence of a five-year-old boy unexpectedly brings a new outlook on life and love. This heartwarming play offers a hilarious and modern alternative to the old standards of the holiday season. Directed by Mary Jones and assistant directed/produced by Brittany Roper. Performance dates are December 6-8 and 13-15.
Audition dates are September 27 from 6:00-8:00, September 28 from 1:00-4:00, and September 29 from 4:00-6:00. No appointment necessary, walk in any time during the listed times. All auditions will take place at 202 S Pearl St. Pontiac, IL.
Auditioners are asked to prepare a short monologue and will be given sides for a cold reading from the script. If interested in being in the Doo Wop Chorus , please prepare 16 bars of your favorite Christmas carol with a backup track. We will have a cd player and/or speakers with an aux cord.
